What we receive

Only these three. There are no user accounts on this site.

• Access records: the pages you open, your approximate region, your device and browser, and your IP address (server logs)
• Location sharing (beta): the group name and the display names in it, your location, your short comment, and any photos you post
• Stored on your device: which groups you have joined (kept in your browser only; it is not sent to us)

What it is used for

• Showing resort information, and improving the site by seeing which pages are read
• Location sharing (beta): showing your location and comment to the others in your group
• Investigating faults and dealing with misuse

Location sharing (beta)

Location sharing is a feature we are still testing. Only people who have the group link can use it. Your location is sent from your device only while the map screen is open, and never while it is closed.

Your location, comment and photos can be seen by anyone holding the link to that group. Photo files are stored where anyone with the file's URL can view them, so please do not post photos you would not want seen.

The person who created a group can set the period it is used for. Outside that period no location is sent, and members' locations and comments are not shown (photos stay visible). Email us at the address above if you want what is inside deleted.

You can stop sending your location at any time by closing the screen or turning location off for the site.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

The resort pages (/en and /ja) use Google Analytics. It uses cookies to count how often each page is read. We do not use it to identify anyone.

The location-sharing pages send nothing to Google Analytics at all: their addresses contain the group's secret link, and we keep that from reaching anyone else.

Google handles that data under its own policies. You can also stop it with Google's opt-out add-on.

Embedded services

These are shown inside our pages. Once shown, each provider receives information about your device (such as your IP address) and may set cookies.

• Each resort's official Facebook, Instagram and X posts
• Google Maps (on the Access tab)
• Mapbox (trail maps and group maps)

Where the data is kept

The site is served by Vercel (United States) and the data is stored with Supabase (Tokyo, Japan). Both are service providers we use to run the site, and the information is held on their servers.

Apart from the above, we do not pass personal information to anyone else and we do not sell it. There is no advertising on the site.

Children

Location sharing (beta) should be used under a parent's or guardian's supervision. Email us at the address above to have a child's information deleted.

Access and deletion

Email us at the address above to see, correct or delete what we hold. We will act on it as far as we can confirm the request comes from you.

Changes

We may change this policy as the site grows. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page.
